Amanda Wikman started horseback riding at a young age, and she immediately fell in love! She decided right from the beginning that she was going to become a professional equestrian. After spending her school years showing and working at barns for extra lessons and saddle time in hunters and hunter jumpers, she then studied dressage under Enika Lucio Schembari learning as much as she could before heading to college at Meredith Manor International Equestrian Center. There, she majored as a Jumping student where she studied the dressage and jumping disciplines under Bronze & Silver medalists Nancy Wesolek-Sterrett and Samantha Capoferri. Meredith Manor is also where she was introduced to the discipline of Reining! Amanda graduated with her Riding Master VI Certification, and also became certified in Horse Training and Equine Massage Therapy. After graduating, Amanda returned to her home in Massachusetts and started working for herself teaching riding lessons and training horses in the south shore - as well as teaching lessons at her home barn Briggs Stable in Hanover. After some time, she met her husband, Carl, and they moved to New Hampshire to have a family! They now have two lovely children and have recently been busy making Amanda's dream of running her equestrian business from home a reality. Kimball Pond Ponies is a name that Carl thought of for the farm and Amanda loved it the moment she heard it - it really suited her family and Amanda's affection for smaller horses. She now runs her business from home and is more excited than ever to teach the aspiring riders of New Hampshire!
